Texas’ 62-57 victory over Oklahoma State on Sunday in Austin, Texas, gave the Longhorns a share of the Big 12 championship with Kansas and made them the No. 1 seed in this week’s Big 12 Tournament at the Sprint Center.
It’s the third Big 12 title for Texas, which also won in 1999 and 2006, also sharing that title with the Jayhawks.
Texas’ triumph and Nebraska’s victory over Colorado finalized the tournament pairings, which presents some tantalizing possibilities.
Second-seeded Kansas could have a tournament path of Missouri and Kansas State.Texas could have a path of Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.
