Chiefs reach five-year contract with punter Colquitt

The Chiefs today agreed to terms on a five-year contract with punter Dustin Colquitt, a day before he would have become a restricted free agent.

Colquitt was fifth in the NFL last season in net average at 39.1 yards.

Locking up Colquitt for the long term was one of the Chiefs’ priorities before the start of free agency. He was the Chiefs’ third-round draft pick in 2005.
