Gary Forsee to be named president of University of Missouri system

COLUMBIA | Former Sprint CEO Gary Forsee will be introduced Thursday as the new president of the University of Missouri system, a source has told The Kansas City Star.

Curators will introduce the university's 22nd president Thursday afternoon in Columbia. The new president replaces Elson Floyd, who took the top job at Washington State University in April.

Gordon Lamb has led the Missouri system since Floyd's departure. Lamb is a former university president and acting chancellor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
