KC native, Pulitzer winner Richard Rhodes to speak at Central Library

Kansas City native and Pulitzer Prize winner Richard Rhodes will discuss his new book, "Arsenals of Folly: The Making of the Nuclear Arms Race," this evening at the Kansas City Public Library.

The presentation begins at 7 p.m. at the Central Library, 14 W. 10th St.

Arsenals, a narrative account of the superpower nuclear arms race, is the third volume in Rhodes’ nuclear history series, following "The Making of the Atomic Bomb" and "Dark Sun: The Making of the Hydrogen Bomb."

In addition to his nonfiction books, Rhodes is the author of four novels and articles published in several periodicals, including Esquire, Harper’s and Reader’s Digest.
