Five-star center J’Mison Morgan will not play college basketball at Kansas, opting to commit to LSU during a press conference Friday afternoon, according to James Mays, Morgan’s high school coach.
Morgan attends South Oak Cliff in Dallas, the same school Kansas sophomore Darrell Arthur attended. That connection wasn’t enough to sway Morgan, the No. 23 player in the 2008 class, to Kansas.
KU received great news earlier this week when twin four-star power forwards Marcus and Markieff Morris of Philadelphia committed to the Jayhawks. The class stands at five for now, but KU is still in the running for five-star point guard Willie Warren of Fort Worth, Texas.
