K-State's Lehning, KC's Smith and White on women's All-Big 12 team

Kansas State guard Shalee Lehning was named to the preseason All-Big 12 team announced Wednesday.

Lehning, a senior, was a first-team pick in 2008 after averaging 11.3 points, 7.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists.The league’s newcomer of year, voted by the coaches, is Texas A&M’s Tanisha Smith, a transfer from Arkansas-Fort Smith who played at Lincoln Prep in Kansas City.

Co-freshmen of the year Tyra White of Texas A&M played at Hickman Mills.
