Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius today announced her appointment of Kelly Ryan as a Johnson County judge.
Ryan will fill the vacancy left by the recent retirement of Judge William Isenhour Jr. Ryan has practiced law in Johnson County for 23 years in areas such as criminal defense, family law and civil litigation. He is the assistant city prosecutor of Fairway.
The other finalists were Neil Foth and Johnson County Magistrate Judge James Phelan.
