Hurricane could push Missouri-Nevada game into national cable TV slot

Hurricane Ike could put Missouri’s 11:30 a.m. Saturday game against Nevada on national cable television.

Chad Moller, Missouri's director of media relations, has told The Star in a text message that MU, Fox Sports Net and the Big 12 Conference are having discussions over whether the game -- set for pay per view only at present -- could be switched to Fox Sports Net’s national game at the same time.

Washington State at Baylor was in that time slot, but the threat of Hurricane Ike has caused that game to be shifted to Friday night with no TV coverage.

The Arkansas at Texas game in Austin on Saturday had previously been postponed because of weather concerns.

Despite the decision to move the Baylor game, Moller said as of mid-afternoon today that no decision on the MU-Nevada game had been made.
