MU's Moore, Maclin 'probable' for Saturday's game

COLUMBIA - William Moore and Jeremy Maclin are listed as “probable” to play Saturday by Missouri Coach Gary Pinkel. And wide receiver Danario Alexander might come back Sept. 13.

But Steve Redmond, second-team senior linebacker out of Rockhurst, will be out for the remainder of the season.

“Redmond tore his ACL and MCL, I think both,” Pinkel said.

Moore, Missouri’s star safety, suffered a strained foot and Maclin a sprained ankle.

Either could likely rest against Southeast Missouri State, a huge underdog in Saturday’s 6 p.m. home opener for MU.

“Obviously, we’re going to do what’s right and what’s smart,” Pinkel said. “The final decision will be made in mid-week to the end of the week."

“If he’s healthy,” Pinkel said of Maclin, “he’ll play. And he wants to play. So does William Moore."
