Three K-State players fail conditioning test

Kansas State coach Ron Prince placed three players on the physically unable to perform list after they failed the program's conditioning test, which was given before today's opening fall workout.

The players — offensive lineman Jordan Bedore and defensive linemen Raphael Guidry and Xzavier Stewart — will not be permitted to practice with the rest of the Wildcats. Instead, they will work on their conditioning in an attempt to pass the test in the coming days. Upon passing, the three players will join their teammates in practice.

Bedore, a senior, was named to the 2008 Rimington Trophy watch list and is serving as a team co-captain. Guidry is a redshirt freshman from Texas. Stewart is a sophomore who saw action in two games a year ago and, according to K-State's media guide, "is expected to be a big part of the Wildcat defensive front in 2008."
