HUTCHINSON, Kan. | The Reno County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating the drownings of a man and woman whose bodies have been found at Cheney Lake in south-central Kansas.
The names of the victims are not being released until their family members have been notified.
The bodies were found about 8:40 a.m. Sunday. Two men launching a boat found the man's body in the water near Red Bluff Cove, which is in the northeast part of the lake.
A search turned up an empty boat containing items that led rescuers to think a woman was with the man.
