Las Vegas Sands Corp., one of five companies vying to run a state-owned casino in the county, says it will no longer pursue a gambling license in Kansas.
According to a report from KSHB-TV, Sands President William Weidner says it is because of what could happen in Missouri . A measure proposed for Missouri’s November ballot would repeal the state’s loss limit, which is now at $500 a gambler for a two-hour peroid.
Weidner says that if Missouri's loss limit is repealed, gamblers might not be compelled to cross state lines.
