Another piece of advice for drivers who have to use U.S. 69 through Overland Park today: Stay away.
U.S. 69 will be down to one lane at various locations Friday, assuming the weather allows work to proceed. And any time this stretch of highway is narrowed to one lane you can expect significant delays. Here’s what to look for this morning:
* The northbound and southbound lanes will be down to one lane near 132nd Street where a new bridge is under construction. The southbound closure starts at 5 this morning. The northbound closure starts at 8 a.m. Lanes should be open by 4 p.m.
* Father north, the highway will be down to one lane at 103rd Street starting at 9 a.m. for bridge painting. It should be open by 3:30 p.m.
