Hulshof heads Missouri House delegation in assets

WASHINGTON _ Rep. Kenny Hulshof remains the wealthiest member of Missouri's U.S. House delegation.

The Missouri Republican, who is running for governor, reports assets of between $1.15 million and $5.39 million.

The information is included in annual financial disclosure forms released Monday.

Most of Hulshof's wealth is tied up in his family farm, valued at between $1 million and $5 million. He inherited the farm after his parents died.

Assets are reported in broad ranges that make it impossible to determine exactly how much each lawmaker is worth.

Hulshof will face Secretary of State Sarah Steelman in the Aug. 5 GOP primary. The winner will face Attorney General Jay Nixon, a Democrat, this fall.
