Rescuers pulled four men from the Little Blue River Monday after they went for a ride in a small boat.
The men, ages 18 and 19, ran into trouble when the decided they had enough of their cruise and tried to exit the river at a bridge near U.S. 24 and Old Lexington Road. The nose of the boat submerged when it struck the bridge and the paddle boat capsized. Rescue found three of the men clinging to a tree, one clinging to the boat.
No injuries were reported. The Jackson County Sheriffs Department and the Missouri Water Patrol are investigating.
