Wichita State junior third baseman Alec Bohm is drafted third overall by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2018 MLB Draft. Bohm led WSU with 57 runs, 14 doubles, 55 RBIs and also hit .339 for the Shockers.
The Wichita State baseball team heads to Clearwater, Fla. with its NCAA Tournament life at stake. The Shockers are facing a must-win situation, as they will be the No. 7 seed and play No. 2 South Florida on Wednesday.
The baseball series finale between Wichita State and South Florida ended in a 9-9 tie after 11 innings because of American Athletic Conference "travel curfew rules." South Florida had to leave at 3 p.m. to catch their flight home.
