In just a few weeks, Royal Caribbean is set to amplify the joy of the popular cruise duck trend as it launches its third Icon-class ship, Legend of the Seas. With the ship's July launch quickly approaching, the cruise line just introduced a new "Quack Quest," inviting passengers to learn more about the ship's features and get access to special cruise discounts.

Among the ship's new features is a duckie-go-round, a new take on the merry-go-round featured in the Surfside family neighborhood on Icon-class ships that will feature Royal Caribbean's own cruise duck characters.

Royal Caribbean previously enlisted its social media followers' help to name the duck characters - like a pink cowgirl duck that fans voted to name Dolly as a tribute to legendary country music star Dolly Parton.

Now, the cruise line is building excitement for Legend of the Seas' launch on social media with new cruise duck-themed "Quack Quest" games.

‘Quack Quest' invites cruisers to choose a duck character and explore Legend of the Seas

Royal Caribbean's new Quack Quest games offer a fun way to get to know Legend of the Seas ahead of its launch, and get access to cruise discounts.

"Introducing Quack Quest, where you choose your cruise duck character and explore Legend of the Seas to collect coins + special items to win cruise discounts," Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor Society shared in a June 8 Facebook post.

Cruisers can earn points by playing timed Quack Quest games that offer the opportunity to unlock cruise discount offers. Those who earn the most points will be featured on the Top 10 Leaderboard and could earn the chance at winning a free cruise.

The first Quack Quest game invites cruisers to explore Splashaway Bay, the ship's onboard waterpark for kids of all ages featuring waterslides, water cannons, fountains, pools, and a tipping drench bucket. Royal Caribbean will release a new Quack Quest game every Monday through June 29. Each game offers cruisers a new Legend of the Seas venue to explore in duckie form.

Legend of the Seas offers full lineup of family activities

Along with family fun in Splashaway Bay and the new duckie-go-round in Surfside, Legend of the Seas will feature a broad lineup of family entertainment experiences.

To complement the rubber duck-inspired carousel, a new Quack Bash will bring a rubber duck-themed block party with bubble-filled games to Surfside. Other family events set to add to the fun for families with young kids include a Steel Pan Family Jam, Larger Than Life Family Festival, and an interactive nighttime story time experience.

Families can also look forward to new family entertainment on stage in the Royal Theater, including the Broadway musical take on Roald Dahl's classic children's novel "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" as well as "America's Got Talent LIVE."

Legend of the Seas will also debut a new aquatic show in the AquaTheater and new ice-skating production in the Absolute Zero ice arena.

Legend of the Seas will sail Mediterranean cruises from Rome and Barcelona this summer before making its U.S. debut in the fall with Caribbean sailings from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Across both regions, the ship will sail a wider variety of itineraries than Royal Caribbean has ever offered on an Icon-class ship.
