Caring Hands Humane Society will hold its first annual Drive (FORE!) Healthy Animals charity golf tournament at Sand Creek Station on May 15 in Newton. The tournament is sponsored by Cat Hospital of Wichita and Mommy's Helper Inc. Money raised will go toward veterinary care for animals.
Caring Hands is looking for teams of four and individual players to participate. The entry fee is $100 per person. There is a chance to win a free car with a hole-in-one courtesy of Buxman Motors and many other prizes. Online registration is available at www.caringhandshs.org/golf.

Kennel Club to hold microchip clinic

The Wichita Kennel Club will conduct a low-cost microchip clinic for dogs from 1 to 4 p.m. May 22 at the WKC building, 3448 N. Emporia.
The cost is $20 per dog for those preregistered by May 16 and $25 afterward. The fee includes implantation of the microchip by a licensed veterinarian and lifetime enrollment of your dog in the AKC Companion Animal Rescue database.
