Bark in the Park event today at Chisholm Creek

Chisholm Creek Pet Resort, 6260 N. Hillside, will hold its first annual Bark in the Park from 1 to 4 p.m. today.

The 10-acre off-leash Pup Park, which includes a swimming pond, walking paths, agility equipment and sand hills for digging and climbing, will be open free of charge to dogs and their human guardians. Proof of rabies vaccination is required for dogs.

Events will include contests, raffles, a live radio remote, consultations with animal behaviorist Emily Weiss and training demonstrations by obedience instructor Beth Ericson.

Kennel club to hold microchip clinic

The Wichita Kennel Club will conduct a low-cost microchip clinic for dogs from 1 to 4 p.m. May 22 at the WKC building, 3448 N. Emporia.

The cost is $20 per dog for those preregistered by Monday and $25 afterward. The fee includes implantation of the microchip by a licensed veterinarian and lifetime enrollment of your dog in the AKC Companion Animal Rescue database.

Bunny TNT club to meet May 22

Bunny TNT, an organization for people who own and love bunnies, will meet at 2 p.m. May 22 at Gander Mountain, 605 S. Wichita.

Come meet club members, ask questions, see bunnies available for adoption and get your bunny's nails trimmed.
