The Wichita Kennel Club will conduct a low-cost microchip clinic for dogs from 1 to 4 p.m. May 16 at the WKC building, 3448 N. Emporia.
The cost is $20 per dog for those preregistered by May 3 and $30 afterward. The fee includes implantation of the microchip by a licensed veterinarian and lifetime enrollment of your dog in the AKC Companion Animal Rescue database.

Miniature horse show next weekend
Miniature horses from across the Midwest will be on display May 1 and 2 at the Heartland Classic Miniature Horse Show at the Kansas Coliseum pavilions, 85th Street North off I-135.
The horses will take part in activities such as jumping, driving and navigating obstacles. Horses and equine equipment will be for sale.
