Free seminar this week on housebreaking

Are you having housebreaking issues with your dog? Come to a seminar from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Skaer Veterinary Clinic, 404 S. Edgemoor.

Topics to be covered include: housebreaking a new puppy, housebreaking an adult dog, and medical and behavior issues that may cause a previously housebroken dog to have accidents.

This is a free seminar with limited seating, and dogs are not invited. Call 316-619-4082 to reserve a spot.

Kennel club offers dog handling classes

The Wichita Kennel Club will offer beginning dog handling classes starting Jan. 26.

Classes will be Tuesdays at 7 p.m. for six weeks at the kennel club building, 3448 N. Emporia. The fee is $65.

Household pets wanted for Wichita cat show

Cats need not be purebreds to compete in the Wichita Cat Fancy winter show Feb. 6 and 7 at the Cotillion. People are urged to enter their nonregistered cats in the show's household pet division, a category that celebrates the beauty of the everyday cat.

Entry fee is $25 per cat, and the deadline for entries is Jan. 31. For more information and to receive an entry form, call 316-773-3964.
