Three houses built in El Dorado during the economic boom of the 1880s will be open for tours May 15 for the El Dorado Historic Walking House Tour.
The tour, from 1:30 to 4 p.m., is a benefit for the Trinity Tykes Pre-school. Admission is $10 per adult.
As a part of the festivities, the local antique auto club (Bluestem Vintage & Classic Auto Club) will provide rides between the homes, and the McPherson College auto restoration department will demonstrate techniques they use in their work.
(This college is the only one in the world to offer a four-year degree in vintage auto restoration.)
