Botanical name: Ilex aquifolium "Monvila"

Description: This small evergreen shrub features many branches of small dark green leaves edged a bright golden yellow. It is slow-growing with a pyramidal growth habit, reaching a mature height and spread of 4 to 6 feet.

Growth tips: Easily grown in average, well-drained soil in partial to full sun.

History: Displayed at Botanica since 2008.

Uses: A good selection for borders, hedges or woodland gardens. It is great for use in greenery arrangements.
