As his newborn son lay dying in the intensive care unit, Chris Picco sat beside him, playing his guitar and singing “Blackbird” by the Beatles.

The baby, Lennon James, died on Tuesday.

Picco’s wife, Ashley, died on Saturday.

Now the YouTube video of Chris Picco singing sweetly to his baby is going viral.

Lennon James Picco was delivered by emergency C-section at 24 weeks on Saturday at Loma Linda University Medical Center when Ashley unexpectedly died in her sleep, according to information on the YouTube video.

“Ashley would often feel Lennon moving to music so I brought my guitar today and gave him a little concert. Continue to pray for a miracle for my precious, perfect little guy!” Chris wrote on the video.

He played for several hours during the last days of the baby’s life.

Lennon James, daddy’s “little fighter,” died in his father’s arms, dressed in an outfit his mom bought for him. It had little guitars on it.

A memorial fund has been set up at piccomemorial.com to help the family with medical bills. More than $62,000 has been raised.

The family plans to air the memorial for mother and child on the website on Saturday night.
