Brown’s double-figure streak snapped

For the first time this season, junior Jabari Brown failed to reach double figures in scoring. He finished with eight points on one-for-10 shooting.

Brown, who missed all four three-point tries and is six of 29 on threes in the last six games, didn’t make a basket until the 1:16 mark, though he was perfect in six attempts at the free-throw line.

Brown matched Doug Smith’s record with 30 straight double-digit scoring games to start a season. Smith scored at least 10 points in all of the Tigers’ 30 games during the 1990-91 season.

Going back to last season’s loss against Colorado State in the NCAA Tournament, Brown had hit the double-figure plateau in 31 straight games.
