One of the best uses of a summer day (or evening, or morning) is to spend it sipping a refreshing, fruity adult beverage. This week, we'll share fun and tasty recipes for summer cocktails. This recipe comes courtesy of a sangria fan we know who experimented relentlessly until he was able to recreate the recipe of the sangrias he had at Cafe BaBa Reeba in Las Vegas.
2 1/8 cups burgundy wine
1 1/2 cups white zinfandel

2 shots peach schnapps
1 shot triple sec
1/2 cup orange soda (Orange Crush or Fanta is fine)
12 oz. (1 can) Diet Sprite
Chopped green apple, peach, strawberries, sliced orange (with rind)
Mix all ingredients together. Refrigerate at least overnight-2 days
Serve over ice
Doubling (...ok, quadrupling) batches are encouraged. Lessens the blues.
