Tasty House, the new restaurant by Yen Ching’s former owners, opened on Thursday, July 14, at 2431 N. Greenwich, a few doors down from Blue River Mexican Grill and across the parking lot from Cabela’s at Regency Lakes, 21st and Greenwich.

The restaurant has looked ready to go for a while now, but a leaky air conditioner delayed the opening a bit, said Cathay Chang, who owns the business with her husband, Tom.

Its hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

The Changs closed their 30-year-old Yen Ching at 430 N. Rock Road in May 2014 but said they wanted to get back into the restaurant business

The new restaurant, though, is different from Yen Ching. It’s a quick-service concept, where diners order at the counter and can either dine in or take their food to go. There’s seating inside for about 50.

The menu still has a few old Yen Ching favorites, though, including sweet and spicy three ingredient, three ingredient in black bean sauce, Mongolian beef, triple crown, sesame chicken and lemon chicken.
