Fans of Juni’s Cafe at 2929 N. Rock Road were distressed when it closed at the end of last year.
But another Korean restaurant will soon take its place, and the head of its kitchen also cooked for Juni’s.
First-time restaurateur Chris Lee plans to open Kimchi Restaurant in the space in early April. He’s about to sign the lease and says he plans some minor remodeling, including paint and new wood floors.
Chris Lee’s sister, Wonyoung Lee, cooked not only for Juni’s but also at Hot Stone Korean Grill, 3743 N. Rock Road. She’ll staff the kitchen, Chris Lee says, and her specialty is bulgogi.
