Target Starbucks closed while it’s remodeled, expanded

If you like to shop and sip, you’d better get your Starbucks before you go to the Target at Maple and Ridge.

The store’s built-in Starbucks is closed and will be for several more weeks while it’s remodeled. When the work is complete, the popcorn and pizza concession area next door to it will be gone and the Starbucks will have taken over that space. The expansion will allow Starbucks to sell more of its sandwiches and food items, store managers said.

The east-side SuperTarget already got a Starbucks remodel a few months ago and is selling its expanded food line. The west-side SuperTarget at NewMarket Square is scheduled for its remodel at the end of the month. It appears both of those stores will keep their popcorn and pizza concession stands, which are on opposite ends of the store from the Starbucks kiosks.
