A west-side Indian restaurant has expanded to the east side.

Kababs, which opened at 756 N. Tyler in 2010, added a second location a week ago at 3101 N. Rock Road. It’s in the former Il Ponte space, which sits just behind Jimmie’s Diner near 29th and Rock.

The new Kababs has more dining room space than the original. It also has a few more menu items, including more desserts. Like the original, it serves a lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily that includes tandoori chicken, kababs, saag paneer, chicken curry and fresh-baked naan.

Its hours are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays, when only the buffet is served. For more information on the new restaurant, call 316-260-9999.
