Pacific Coast Pizza closed at the end of business on Tuesday

The east side is down a pizza place.

Pacific Coast Pizza, which opened six years ago at 7718 E. 37th St. N., closed at the end of business on Tuesday.

The owners informed customers of the closing in a Facebook post that read, “After six wonderful years we have decided to close and Tuesday was our last day in business. We met some awesome people through out our years at P.C.P that are now family and we are so grateful for that. Thanks to all of our loyal customers new and old that helped us serve so many of you for so long. Also, we couldn't have done it without some great employees, thanks guys! We wish you all the best and hope to see you all around Wichita.”

Rusty Law opened Pacific Coast Pizza, a family-friendly sports bar and restaurant that served beer, pizza and wings, in Sienna Plaza in 2009.

In 2013, he made plans to open a second restaurant in the space right by Intrust Bank Arena at 222 S. Commerce now occupied by The Hungry Heart, a restaurant and brewery. The deal fell through, and the short-lived Jetty’s Pizza opened there instead.

I have messages in to owner Rusty Law to find out what his plans are now. I’ll update this post if I hear from him.
