Clifton Square will get its newest tenant on Saturday morning, and the 400-square-foot space it occupies will return to its coffee roots.

Jon and Ivy Jones, who have owned the Verita Coffee Bar & Roastery at 9414 W. Central since March 2015, are opening their new location in College Hill’s Clifton Square at 7 a.m. on Saturday. After that, its hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. It will be closed on Sundays.

Clifton Square also is home to popular businesses like Dempsey’s Burger Pub, College Hill Creamery and Ziggy’s Pizza.

Verita is taking over the spot where Songbird Juice Co. briefly had its second location. But coffee fans will remember that the tiny little space, which faces Clifton, once held Timothy Wiesner’s revered Fresh Roast Coffee Company.

Wiesner now sells his beans out of The Ffarquhar, an orange warehouse at 611 S. St. Francis, on Saturday mornings. People order the beans in advance on his Fresh Roast Coffee Company group Facebook page.)
