Wichita now has two Ziggy’s Pizza restaurants.
On Wednesday, the popular pizza place opened its second location in The Collective at East 21st Street and K-96, taking over the space formerly occupied by liquor store Extremo Vino.
The new restaurant has the same menu as the original, which opened in Clifton Square in 2012. But the new one has 3,000 square feet and a giant patio. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
Jamie Verbeckmoes and brother Ryan Verbeckmoes founded Ziggy’s, which is known for its signature rectangular pizzas, toasted sandwiches and beer selection. Their sister, Kristi Fenwick, and her husband, Jonathan, will run the new location.
