Bike night is back.It used to be that when I’d leave work on Thursday nights, I’d see dozens of parked motorcycles across the street at Emerson Biggins, 808 E. Douglas.
About a year ago, the bar stopped putting on its Bike Nights after the crowds migrated to a competitor’s weekly event. But that event is no more, so Biggins has revived its Thursday-night Bike Night.
Bike Night will include food and drink specials and will feature live bands at Rock Island Live. Bikers are invited any time during the day, though most come between 5:30 and 10 p.m. A parking area will be blocked off in front of the bar.
On July 25, Bike Night will include a benefit bike wash for Bikers Against Child Abuse from 6 to 9 p.m. It’ll feature a live band, raffle items and more.
