The Taste & See kitchenWhen I wrote my little profile of Taste & See Everyday Gourmet a few weeks ago, Chef Jason-Paul Febres told me he planned to start opening the kitchen at 3825 E. Harry for lunch in February.

So now it’s February, and it appears that Febres has chosen a date. On Feb. 22, which is a week from Tuesday, he’ll begin offering lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

The menu features both vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers, salads, sandwiches and more.

Several of the dishes look at awfully lot like the lunch items served at Sabor, where Febres was the original chef:  Tostones, a ceviche cocktail, a Cuban sandwich and fish tacos. Other items include black bean hummus, a chicken schwarma sandwich, an Argentine-style Philly steak and a burger topped with avocado, bacon and a fried egg.
