A couple of fun food truck events are coming up – one this weekend and one next. Mark these on your calendars.
Food Trucks at the Fountain
The last Sunday of the month is this weekend, meaning that the food trucks are getting together for their Food Trucks at the Fountain meet-up at the WaterWalk, 515 S. Main. It will last from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., but those who want to participate in a 90-minute outdoor yoga class at the corner of Main and Waterman should arrive at 10 a.m.
The event also will have live music from Cassie Jo Craig and Rudy Love Jr. Participating trucks include the Flying Stove, B.S. Sandwich Press, Big Chill Ice Cream, Xclusive Booze Truck, Bade Truck, The Big Apple, Brickhouse BBQ, Charlie’s Pizza Taco, Chino’s Parrilla, Funky Monkey Munchies, Funky Monkeys Shaved Ice, Hot-2-Trot Gourmet Hotdogs, Hopperoni Express, Hit the Spot, The Kamayan Truck, Kona Ice, Kind Cravings, Let’m Eat Brats, Lynn’s Curbside Cookout, Noble House Hawaiian Plate Lunch, Smallcakes Wichita, Sunflower Espresso, Sweet Willy’s BBQ, U-Hungry Truck and Uno Mas.

Food trucks at Sedgwick County Park
Sedgwick County Park will be the site of a food truck rally on Friday, Sept. 30. The event, designed to help launch a capital campaign to expand the Sunrise Boundless Playscape inside the park, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at the west end of the Playscape. Among the trucks that will be setup at the park: Kind Kravings, Let’m Eat Brats, The Brown Box Bakery, Garden of Eatin’, B.S. Sandwich Press, The Flying Stove, Funky Monkey Munchies and Sunflower Espresso. The 1.3 acre Sunrise Rotary Boundless Playscape, designed to accommodate children with disabilities, opened in 2008.
