The upscale restaurant at 1550 N. Webb Road (316-201-1300) has updated its menu for summer and added several tempting features. Among them:
1. A raw bar: The bar will feature four kinds of fresh shucked oysters served with cocktail and mignonette sauces. Customers can get a half dozen or a full dozen and can mix and match to get a perspective on oysters from different waters.
2. Seafood specialties, Chester's also will offer some cooked seafood specialties for summer, including oyster pan stew, New England Clam Chowder and fried oysters, as well as cold offerings such as mini shrimp ceviche tacos, cold smoked salmon and Maine lobster rolls.
3. Summery drinks: Chester's is highlighting some summer whites and pinks and has also introduced a few fruity cocktails, including a sangria/margarita hybrid called "Sangarita."

Abelardo's is open
Abelardo's, a Mexican restaurant in the former Dog-N-Shake building at 259 S. West St., is now open. The restaurant is open 24 hours a day. It's owned by Abelardo Gonzalez, who also has restaurants in Omaha and Spokane, Wash. For more information, call 316-978-9440.
Bella Luna is extending its hours at its east-side and west-side restaurants. The new hours for the restaurants at 2132 N. Rock Road and 2441 N. Maize Road are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays. (The hours for the original Bella Luna at 4618 E. Central remain unchanged — 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, closed Sundays.) Also, the east and west restaurants are featuring live jazz on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
