Three restaurants celebrating Halloween with kids

1. Applebee's: Children ages 12 and under who wear their Halloween costumes to Applebee's today and Saturday can get a free kid's meal with the purchase of an adult entree. The deal is good for dine-in only.

2. Abuelo's, 1413 N. Waterfront Parkway: Costumed children age 12 and under can get a free kid's meal from 11 a.m. to close on Saturday. Families can get two kid's meals for every adult entree purchased.

3. GreenAcres Market, 8141 E. 21st St.: The health food shop and cafe will put on a Halloween cooking class for kids from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and will make treats low in sugar. Admission is free, but make a reservation by calling 316-634-1088.

Savute's is 65

Savute's Italian Ristorante at 3303 N. Broadway will celebrate 65 years in business by offering dinners for $6.50 from Wednesday through Nov. 7. Wednesday they'll serve spaghetti and meatballs, Thursday will be an 8-ounce sirloin, Friday will be chicken scaloppini, and Saturday will be the supreme piatto, which includes lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs and scaloppini. Look for a story about the restaurant in next Friday's GO!

Burrito expansion

The new Chipotle at Kellogg and Rock Road is open. It's Wichita's fourth. The others are at 515 N. Hillside, 2241 N. Maize Road and 3015 N. Rock Road.

Eaton Steakhouse closes

The Eaton Steakhouse , which opened in December 2007 at 523 E. Douglas, has closed. The restaurant had recently been sued by its landlord, Eaton Place, which wanted to evict the restaurant for what it said was unpaid rent.
