Chant at the Boulevard

Eclectic soul band Chant will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Boulevard, 900 George Washington Blvd. The trio, whose music is a combination of blues, funk and soul, is led by Chant Duplantier, a Baton Rouge-born multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. Admission is $15 cash at the door, and a cash bar is available. Doors open at 7 p.m., and patrons must be 21.

Elephant Revival

Acoustic quintet Elephant Revival will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday at Naked City Gallery in anticipation of its sophomore album, "Break In the Clouds," set for a June 14 release. The Colorado-based band plays folk ballads and music with hints of blues and Appalachia. Admission is $10.

Acoustic heartland punk

Matthew Grimm, whose music is described as "acoustic heartland punk rock and roll," will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Artichoke, 811 N. Broadway. Grimm is offering the "recession special cover," which is "$5 or whatever you can afford."

Blues appreciation

The Wichita Blues Society is putting on its annual Member Appreciation Party from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Port of Wichita, 1548 S. Webb Road. The party will be headlined by two-time Wichita Blues Challenge Winner RKO. Blues Society members will be admitted free. For nonmembers, admission is $2.
