HillBenders at Abode

The Kansas Acoustic Arts Association is bringing the HillBenders , a hot young bluegrass band, to the Venue at Abode, 1330 E. Douglas, tonight. The show starts at 7 p.m. The KBA Treblemakers, a regional youth band of the Kansas Bluegrass Association, will open the show. Admission is $15 at the door or $10 for KAAA members.

Comedy and country at Hartman

Hartman arena has two shows scheduled for Valentine's Day weekend. The first is Bill Bellamy's Ladies Night Out Tour , a comedy show at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $34 and $44 at stage1tickets.com.

Then, on Monday, country music singer Justin Moore will headline country station KZSN's Birthday Bash with a concert that also features James Otto, Randy Rogers Band, Laura Bell Bundy and Margaret Durante. It's at 7 p.m., and tickets are $18 at stage1tickets.com.

Love stinks comedy show

The Loony Bin is making two contributions to Valentine's Day comedy. The first is "The Love Stinks, Let's Drink Comedy Show." The show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Sunday at the comedy club, 6140 E. 21st St., and will feature comedians Keely Connolly, Ofelia Arredondo, Doug Wilson, Derek Aalders and Mr. Biggs. Tickets are $6. The less cynical can enjoy a Monday night dinner and show featuring comedian James Johann. Tickets for dinner and the show are $30; the show only is $15. Dinner is at 6 p.m., the show is at 8.
