Annie Up warm-up

Local cover band Annie Up will prepare for some gigs in Las Vegas later this month with a weekend warm-up at Margarita's Cantina, 3109 E. Douglas. The band, which just added singer Miranda McKellips and keyboardist/singer Emily Deaver, will fill in this weekend for the vacationing house band Lotus. Shows are at 9:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday, and admission is $4. The band will play at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas Oct. 21-23.

First Friday

Riverside Supper Club

A newly formed group of musicians calling themselves The Riverside Supper Club will perform at 8 p.m. today at the Artichoke, 811 N. Broadway. The club consists of members of four bands who like to get together for eating, singing and drinking. They are Alan and Erin Craddock (Monterey Jack and The Mudbugs), Carter Green (The Mudbugs, Smuggling Yo Yos) and Joe Stumpe (Fly By Night). Admission is $5.

'Hometown' release

Local musicians Uche and Scott Alan Knost will celebrate the release of "Hometown," their new five-track CD, with a party Sunday at the Brickyard, 129 N. Rock Island. Doors open at 5 p.m., and Elliot Road and Nikki Moddelmog will open the show. The Brickyard also will be selling barbecue. Admission is $5.

Outdoor jazz

Contemporary jazz act Dotsero out of Colorado will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday at The Brickyard, 129 N. Rock Island. Admission is $5.
