It's been a tradition ever since The Grape occupied the spot on 550 N. Rock Road that now is The Shadow — celebrating Thanksgiving Eve (Wednesday, more specifically) with drink specials. This year's will include 2-for-1 wells and $3.50 Wild Turkey & American Honey liqueur shots. The evening will feature DJ Darren Greiving, and admission is free — though patrons are asked to bring a canned good to be donated to the Kansas Food Bank. The bar also is open on Thanksgiving night starting at 9 p.m. with the same drink specials, a DJ and a canned-good admission fee.
