Country artist Scotty McCreery to perform at Kansas Star

Scotty McCreery, the country crooner perhaps best known for winning “American Idol” in 2011, is coming to Mulvane in December.

According to a news release from the Kansas Star Casino on Monday, McCreery is scheduled to perform at the Kansas Star Arena at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Tickets, which go on pre-sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, start at $20 and can be purchased at http://www.kansasstarcasino.com/entertain/arena. All ages admitted.

McCreery won season 10 of “American Idol” and went on to release his debut album, “Clear As Day,” which earned Platinum certification and peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums charts.

He has since released a Christmas album, “Christmas with Scotty McCreery,” and another LP, “See You Tonight.”
