Share the Season: Woman gets help with bills after hospitalizations

Share the Season is an annual campaign that offers one-time aid to people affected by unforeseen hardships. The people are not identified to protect their privacy.

A heart condition put the 47-year-old woman in a hospital.

She has been living with the condition for the past couple of years but was hospitalized several times this year. She needed surgery in November.

She had to take time off from work and got behind on her bills.

She is thankful for the help she got from Share the Season.

“Sometimes people have a hardship that puts them in a rut,” she said. “This will help me get caught up.”

Share the Season is a joint project of The Eagle, the Wichita Community Foundation and the Salvation Army.

So far this season, it has raised more than $227,510.
