It’s the craftiest time of the year in Kansas.

Once Halloween is over, the calendar fills with arts and craft shows whose organizers are hoping to lure in Christmas shoppers with their unique, antique and one-of-a-kind gift ideas. Two big ones – the Craftapalooza Vintage Market at Century II and the Vintage Market Days at the Kansas Pavilions, happen this weekend.

Russell Cooper, who produces three Craftapalooza craft shows in Wichita throughout the year, said that his holiday installment is always the most popular.

“It’s a good time because people are just starting to gear up for the Christmas season,” he said. “And you’re supporting a lot of individuals and little local businesses.”

Here’s a list of some of the craft shows coming up between now and Christmas in the Wichita area. If you see one that’s missing, e-mail features@wichitaeagle.com.
