With the recent release of the documentary “I Am Chris Farley,” audio of the late “Saturday Night Live” cast member voicing “Shrek” is surfacing.

Farley, who died at age 33 of an overdose of cocaine and morphine in 1997, was originally cast as Shrek, the lovable ogre in the blockbuster movie.

Farley had recorded part of the dialogue before his death, according to IMDB. The role was given to fellow “SNL” player Mike Myers.
