Sunday-morning church going, newspaper reading and lounging around can work up an appetite, and many Wichita restaurants are waiting every weekend to feed the famished.
Wichita Eagle reader Ralph Decker recently posted a question to Curious Wichita, asking me if I could occasionally publish a list of restaurants in Wichita that offer Sunday brunch buffets, noting that the scene changes quickly.
Decker is right. Restaurants often suddenly decide to add a Sunday brunch buffet to their list of offerings, and they also sometimes decide their Sunday brunches aren’t working and eliminate them.
Every Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, I publish in the Go! section and on Dining with Denise a list of restaurants offering holiday brunch buffets. But Sundays are a good day to test run where you might like to go on a holiday because the buffet on a regular Sunday is usually much less expensive than on a special occasion. Some restaurants charge nearly $10 less a head on a non-holiday Sunday. (Though to be fair, the spreads are more lavish on holidays.)
I think Decker is referring to restaurants that don’t serve buffets as a practice, so I’m not including buffet restaurants like Golden Corral, Bishop’s Family Dining and Ourr’s Family Dining. There are several local restaurants that offer brunches only on special holidays, and I’m not listing those, either.
Here’s a guide to restaurants that offer regular Sunday brunches.
