Doug Benson, PedalFest and Percy Jackson celebration on tap this week in Wichita

PedalFest in Wichita

It’s time for the 12th Annual PedalFest, a bike-ride fundraiser for Heartspring Pediatric Services. The event, starting at 8700 E. 29th St. North, offers rides in distances of 100K, 50K, 25K and a five-mile family ride on Saturday. The rides kick off at 6:30 a.m. with the 100K. The post-ride celebration, which includes lunch, live music, a beer garden and a kids zone, is from 10:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration fees are $10-$75 per person. Doug Benson at Crown Uptown

Comedian Doug Benson, who regularly appeared on VH1’s “Best Week Ever” and was a contestant on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” is coming to the Crown Uptown Theatre, 3207 E. Douglas, at 8 p.m. Thursday. General admission is $22 at ticketleap.com. This is an 18-and-older show.

Greek mythology party for kids

Watermark Books & Cafe, 4701 E. Douglas, hosts a children’s storytime every Saturday from 10:30 to 11 a.m., and this week it’s celebrating the 10th anniversary of the popular adventure book series “Percy Jackson” with a Greek mythology party.
