Let Music Live

The Heart of America Men's Chorus will close its eighth season this weekend with a concert titled "Let Music Live." Here's what you need to know:

1) The concert will be performed at 7 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday at Plymouth Congregational Church, 202 N. Clifton. A cookie and punch reception will follow each performance.

2) A variety of songs will be featured, including "Shake Your Groove Thing," "Listen to the Music" and "Pure Imagination."

3) The concert will support Inter-Faith Ministries' two homeless shelters with a sock and underwear drive. Audience members are encouraged to bring new men's underwear and socks for the shelters. All sock and underwear donations must be new and in original packaging.

4) The Heart of America Men's Chorus began in 2002 with five members. Today, there are 45 members. Tickets to their concert are $18 and are available at the door. For more information, call 316-708-4837.

A good cause

Drums Across Kansas will feature performances by eight drum and bugle corps from across the country. It begins at 7 p.m. Monday in Cessna Stadium, on the Wichita State University campus.
