On the heels of its sold-out concert Tuesday featuring Willie Nelson, the Cotillion has a weekend slate of shows sure to pack in crowds. Here's what's on the bill:
1) Gabriel Iglesias, the self-proclaimed fluffy comedian, will perform tonight at a sold-out show. Iglesias is known for his impersonations and story-telling from his own life. Because of his large frame, he has said of himself, "I'm not fat, I'm fluffy." The concert is at 7:30 p.m. today.
2) On Saturday night, metal band Sevendust will perform with a lineup that includes Drowning Pool, Digital Summer and Down From Up. The band's eighth studio album, "Cold Day Memory," is scheduled to be released in April. The concert begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $23 day of show.
3) The weekend closes with a concert by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, with opening bad The Trishas. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, which was founded in 1966, has had several No. 1 hits, including "Long Hard Road," "Modern Day Romance" and "Fishin' in the Dark." The concert starts at 7 p.m. Sunday. Advance tickets are $25; they're $28 the day of the show.
The Cotillion is at 11120 W. Kellogg. Tickets are available at Select-A-Seat outlets, the Cotillion, House of Sight & Sound and employee clubs. Credit card orders at 316-722-4201 or www.thecotillion.com.
